MOOCs for nature conservation: how to build capacities at the XXIst century?

Why attend
One can be trained in nature conservation and it can now be done online: how do you learn new competencies in protected area management and get a certificate through a series of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)? That's the whole point of this pitch!
HideDescription
The pitch will present the online certificate developed by IUCN-Papaco, Senghor University of Alexandria and other academic partners. The certificate is based on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) available on www.mooc-conservation.org. What is a MOOC? Which audience is targeted? How to register? What are the conditions to be able to follow the courses? What results can you expect? How to obtain the online certificate? Etc. Through this presentation, participants will see a presentation of the course, will be able to suggest improvement and should they be interested, will be able to register for the next session (September 2020). These MOOCs have been supported by different partners including the French Agency for Development (AfD) and the MAVA foundation.
