La conservation des requins - Mayday....our les océans appellent à l'aide

Pourquoi assister à cette session?
Shark Conservation is vital to strengthen ocean resilience and restore ocean health. However, sharks are in a global crisis due to industrial fishing. There is still hope to achieve SDG14 "Life below water" but we are running out of time . We believe in global alliances, public engagement and unusual partnerships for sharks and our blue planet
HideDescription
Shortfin mako shark stock in the North Atlantic at the brink of collapse, abundance of oceanic sharks declined by more than 70% due to fishing impact over the last 50 years, shark finning, shark livening and other exploitation of sharks continue as effective measures like fins naturally attached, electronic monitoring systems are still not required by major tuna RFMOs or the MSC as the leading label for sustainable seafood, and as the world is preoccupied by the pandemic. Those and many other topics are on our agenda, advocating for bycatch reduction, selective fishing gear and sustainable stock management for sharks as part of a transition to an ecosystem based fishery. It's time to act now!
