The IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions certification system

Why attend
Contribute to a discussion on what are the opportunities, and challenges, of a future IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions certification.
HideDescription
IUCN is committed to develop a third party certification system to provide assurance for businesses implementing IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based SolutionsTM . The certification will be carried out in partnership with existing sector specific certification schemes to maximize the outreach and synergies. Defined by IUCN in 2016, NbS has garnered significant interest and momentum, worldwide, as a promising sustainable development model. To develop this system, IUCN will closely work with a small group of certification schemes to define, among others, the requirements for certification schemes to be recognised by IUCN, and the best approach to align IUCN Global Standard for NbSTM in the schemes’ own standards. Join us for a discussion on what are the opportunities, and challenges, of a future IUCN Global Standard for NbS certification. An opening presentation of the current concept for the IUCN Global Standard for NbS certification system.
