Recognising and Supporting OECMs

Why attend
‘Other effective area-based conservation measures’ (OECMs) is a conservation designation for areas that are achieving the effective in-situ conservation of biodiversity outside of protected areas.
HideDescription
Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs) will be a critical element in achieving more ambitious targets for protected and conserved areas under the new Global Biodiversity Framework of the CBD. This event is being hosted by the IUCN WCPA Specialist Group on OECMs. The co-chairs will update on the development of training materials, films and events that have been developed under the auspices of the Specialist Group.
