Biodiversity Indicators for Site based Impacts- measuring corporate biodiversity performance on the ground

HideDescription
The session will provide an overview of the Biodiversity Indicators for Site-based Impacts - BISI methodology and its practical application. BISI supports companies to develop corporate biodiversity performance indicators that are scientifically credible, transparent and understandable by multiple audiences. Initially focused on extractives, this work has broadened its scope given the potential application to other sector with relevant site-based biodiversity impacts. The session will include background as to the gaps in the field that the methodology covers. It will then present two case studies from companies who have piloted the methodology, to discuss lessons learned.
