This session will introduce participants to the IUCN World Heritage Outlook, including how to use the Outlook website, how to find the latest results of the 2020 conservation outlook assessments for all natural World Heritage sites and how the findings can be used to improve conservation of natural World Heritage.

How can the results of conservation outlook assessments be used to improve the conservation of World Heritage? Find out the answers to these questions and more at this session that will introduce the IUCN World Heritage Outlook, and the findings from the 2020 update of conservation outlook assessments for all natural World Heritage sites. This session will guide participants in how to navigate the Outlook website, including how to access summary level results, query individual assessments for sites, filter assessments according to search criteria, and access relevant resources and tools. Through these demonstrations, participants will learn what is measured during the Outlook assessment cycle and how the findings have been and can be used in World Heritage sites across the world to lead to improved conservation outcomes.
