International Development Finance Club (IDFC): How can Public Development Banks (PDB) support the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework?

Why attend
This session will focus on how PDBs can support the post 2020 global biodiversity framework and the positive contribution they can have on biodiversity. It will be the opportunity to unpack the ‘financing green’ concept and to illustrate how PDBs invest in Nature, beyond biodiversity conservation projects
HideDescription
Representatives from IDFC members (BNDES in Brazil, KfW in Germany and AFD) but also from MDBs (Asian Development Bank) will present their strategies for taking biodiversity into account in their financing activities, their procedures for integrating biodiversity into their systems, and their accounting methods. IDFC asked about the difficulties that public development banks face in financing biodiversity.
