Opening Plenary: Our Freshwater Global Risk - Taking Actions to Reverse the Trend

Why attend
Join the call to global action for freshwater.
HideDescription
Freshwater is the most precious resource on the planet. Despite representing only 3% of the total water on the earth, freshwater is a fundamental resource for humans and natural ecosystems alike. However, because freshwater has largely been considered as an economic resource, the unsustainable management of wetlands and rivers continues to undermine food and water security as well as threatening the survival of wild species and the integrity of natural systems and processes. In this context, we urge you to join the Opening Plenary to discuss the urgent challenges needed to support water security and conservation demands by global goals and different Conventions, and to reverse the decline of freshwater species.
