Building Support and Commitment for a Nature-Positive World

Why attend
In the lead up to CBD COP15 and UNFCCC COP26, governments and key stakeholders are working to build a global campaign to mobilise support for a nature-positive world. Join this high-level session to learn more about this exciting new effort and how you can contribute to it.
HideDescription
The world today faces critical interconnected crises of biodiversity loss, climate change, health and development inequities. While the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement have successfully placed the need for equitable development and carbon neutrality at the centre of the global agenda, there is still relatively less awareness of the important contribution that nature makes to society. To address this gap, governments and other stakeholders are now building a campaign in support of a nature-positive world that aims to put nature and nature-based solutions at par with climate goals in the lead up to COP26 and beyond. This high-level session, which will be joined by environmental leaders and senior representatives from across government, business, finance and civil society, will share how these major actors are supporting a nature-positive world and contributing both towards the 'Nature Day' at UNFCCC COP26 in Glasgow and the ‘Stockholm+50’ process next year.
