Dr Robyn SHAW

Researcher, Murdoch University

Dr. Robyn Shaw is a conservation biologist who uses genetics to understand Australia's unique mammal fauna. She has worked in some of Australia's most remote and ancient landscapes, where novel approaches to conservation are crucial for addressing the many threats facing species in these vast regions. Her research explores the effects of fire, invasive species, land use and climate on animal populations; using genetics as a tool to discover how species respond to environmental change. Robyn works with government, NGOs, industry and universities to come up with landscape-scale solutions to conservation challenges.
