Art as a whistle blower for the living planet. The Elgin gas platform explosion went unnoticed in the medias for 6 months. My 35 paintings show oil spills, mangrove destruction, the bleaching of coral reefs… Associating science with fine arts is a different way to raise consciousness about the urgency of changing our lifestyles.

Her exhibit will be opened from 3rd to 10th of September 2021. «ART & ECOLOGY, CONTEMPLATION & ACTION », in the Hall 9 "Palais des Congrès" Nicole King will exhibit 35 activist paintings at the IUCN Congress : « Fight for Water's survival », covering 3 themes of the Congress : oceans, fresh water and climate change. Scientist and eco-artist, Nicole King has two professions. As a Water and Pollution expert, she travelled the world for WWF International and the oil Industry for TOTAL. Her paintings depict the major ecological catastrophies of our era and the disappearing beauties of biodiversity. She develops an innovative pedagogy based on recycled materials. The eco-artist will have the pleasure to give 2 conferences : 1 Nicole King will hold a debate with the art critic and philosopher C. Noorbergen : "Art and ecology, a common crisis of beauty ?", Sept. 7th ? 2 She will talk at the EGN about "Art, Ecology & her Recup'Art Pedagogy", Hall 2 on Sept. 5th at 6 to 6:30PM
