IUCN Natural Resource Governance Framework (NRGF) Launch

Pourquoi assister à cette session?
Join us to learn about the IUCN Natural Resource Governance Framework (NRGF), including: the framework of values, principles and criteria; diverse ways it can be used to better understand and identify pathways to improve governance; and ways to engage with the NRGF initiative going forward. We hope to see you there!
HideDescription
Governance is a critical determinant of conservation equity, effectiveness and sustainability. It is central to human rights-based conservation. While knowledge about and efforts to improve environmental governance are growing, there is also urgent need for further understanding and action. The Natural Resource Governance Framework (NRGF) is an IUCN knowledge resource created to provide a robust, inclusive and credible approach to assessing and strengthening natural resource governance, at multiple levels and in diverse contexts. In this session, through presentation and panel discussion, we will: (1) introduce the NRGF - a framework of values, principles and criteria for effective and equitable natural resource governance; (2) share stories and lessons from NRGF pilot assessments; (3) hear reflections on why equitable and effective natural resource governance is critical and how the NRGF can support improved governance; and (4) learn about the NRGF initiative's next-steps.
