A Hands-On Introduction to Key Species Conservation Planning and Management Tools

Pourquoi assister à cette session?
Come try out and learn about best-practice planning and management tools used to conserve species and their habitats around the world.
HideDescription
One of the key factors leading to “conservation that works” and the ability to “catalyze transformative action” is having good real-world conservation and management plans that take into account the complex and dynamic systems in which conservation operates. The IUCN SSC Conservation Planning Specialist Group (CPSG) has developed a set of planning principles and steps to facilitate the planning process for species conservation. In this session, the CPSG has partnered with the Conservation Measures Partnership and the Conservation Coaches Network to provide hands-on introductory training for a number of tools that can be used to implement these principles and steps. Participants will work with leading coaches to try key tools including situation analysis, threat analysis, theories of change, and develop their interpersonal skills within the context of a real-world example.
