Increasingly stringent emissions reduction requirements mean we have to look at all possible avenues for climate change mitigation. AF and TOF have not been explored previously for their potential for climate change mitigation while ensuring conservation, food security, livelihoods and climate proofing in the region.

This webinar shines a light on climate action in the land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) sector in the South Asia region under different development and policy scenarios to 2050, and highlights possible synergies with sustainable development in the region. The webinar focuses in particular on the important roles agroforestry could play in conservation and sustainable development in the region, with case studies from India, Nepal and Bhutan.
