Reverse the Red - SSC evening: A call to action for Sumatran rhinos

The Sumatran rhino it is the most threatened terrestrial vertebrate in the world. This session is a call to join efforts on a search and protection initiative to capture the last Sumatran rhinos left in the wild to breed them under human care.

Get to know the Sumatran rhino emergency action plan and its progress to save this highly threatened species, and join us in a reception. We will have the participation of Her Royal Highness Princess Laurentien of The Netherlands who has worked on sustainable and environmental issues for many years. In 2012, she was elected as President of Fauna & Flora International, the world’s oldest international wildlife conservation organization, after having served as a vice-president since 2006. She has been a Fellow of the European Climate Foundation, focusing on mitigating climate change, and she is also a Special Advisor for Rewilding Europe, a Dutch Foundation which aim is to create rewilded landscapes across Europe.
