Acceso y uso de información sobre áreas clave para la biodiversidad (KBAs)

How do I propose a site as a Key Biodiversity Area (KBA)? Where can I find out information about how KBAs are used? Where can I get information about KBAs in my country? These and other questions will be answered in this session introducing participants to the use of the KBA website and database. KBAs are recognised as sites that contribute significantly to the global persistence of biodiversity, using a standard set of criteria published in the IUCN Standard for the identification of KBAs. This session will guide participants in where to find information to help make proposals for KBAs, where they can find information on how governments, business and donors are using KBAs, and how to access the World Database of KBAs and make queries of the data.
