Distinguished Professor of Geography and Spatial Science, University of Delaware

Dr. Saleem H. Ali is Blue and Gold Distinguished Professor of Energy and the Environment at the University of Delaware (USA) with joint appointments in the College of Earth Ocean and Environment and the Joseph R. Biden School of Public Policy. He is also a member of the United Nations International Resource Panel and the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel of the Global Environment Facility (GEF). His books include Treasures of the Earth: Need Greed and a Sustainable Future (Yale University Press) and Environmental Diplomacy: Negotiating more Effective International Agreements (Oxford University Press). He is a citizen of the United States, Australia and Pakistan.
